Love

Love
April 28, 2004

When I asked God to help me think of what to write about this month all I kept getting from him was love. What about peace, family, hope, etc.... NO! Write about love. O.K., Lord your will be done.

I don `t understand love. I want love, I give love, but I don't understand it! A dear friend of mine, Angela told me that real love is shown through actions not words. You can say I love you all day and not mean it. You can be kind, help someone, give them a gentle touch or kiss. That is real love.

I know that God loves me because I see the thing that he does in my life. If I'm good or bad God still loves me so much that Jesus died so I can go to heaven. That is real love.

Love can really hurt. Some of the worst pain I've ever felt is when I loved someone and they don't love me back. Why can something so wonderful be so painful? Why do good people love others that will only make their life here on earth worse? I see it in bad relationships all the time. It's a cycle of abuse that we must try to stop.

God tells us to love every one. That is a very big goal for us as people to live up to.

When you surrender your life to God he will change your heart if you let him. He will give you a heart that loves to help, share, pray, fellowship, counsel, and to LOVE other people. Your actions show love.

Some times we feel that we are alone and no one loves us, that is a lie from Satan!

God loves us and we are never alone, God is looking over us at all times.
Sometimes I feel that I will never find love on this earth, wife, family etc., but you know what? God loves me and that's all I need. His will be done!

There are three things that will endure-faith, hope and love, and the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13 in the Bible)

Stay strong in God,
