Jesus is Here!

You don’t have to wait! Jesus is Here. A few months ago a man rushed up to me at the airport in Santiago, Chile and said “You are Arthur Blessitt. Praise God. Do you think Jesus is coming soon?

“ No’ I replied. “Jesus is Here!’ Now!

“ We have just been in some island groups carrying the cross and He was there. He is here in the airport. He is ‘with’ me now.’

The man said in a shocked voice, “ I see you on TV sometimes, don’t you think the coming of Jesus is soon?’

I tried to help him see that the Jesus that saved him was with him.

Oh, dear friend I think that so many people are living defeated lives because they do not know that Jesus is at work in the world Now!

Yes, after the death of Jesus on the cross and Him being raised up by the Father on the third day and then ascending into heaven to be seated at the right Hand of the Father. Many have the idea that Jesus is not here.
So much of the focus today is trying to figure out when Jesus is coming back. What is the date? What is the time? When and how will He reign? So many are seeking some scripture to show that the end is near and that Jesus will be coming soon.

I like to think of the angels message to Mary at the tomb on resurrection morning. “Why seek you the living among the dead. He is not here, He is risen!’

To me some of the most thrilling words in the Bible are recorded in Matthew 28:20 when Jesus said “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’

For me the knowledge of the constant unchanging presence of Jesus in my life and in the world is the most thrilling thing there is.

Jesus is not in some far away place separated from earth. But just as Jesus said in John 15 “If you have seen me you have seen the Father’ so the presence of the Holy Spirit in our life is the presence of Jesus.

How wonderful the words of Jesus when He said “Where two or three are gathered together in My Name I am in the midst of them!’

I am not trying to do a Bible study on this subject, just a column. What I want to emphasize is that Jesus is really here on earth and at work Now.

When we lead a person in prayer to invite Jesus into their life as Savior and Lord we speak of Jesus coming into that person. I know that happened to me in 1947. I can tell you Jesus has never left me. Jesus has been with me all these years. I have never felt a moment that He was not in my heart and life. All glory to God.

Sure I believe Jesus is coming again at the end of the world. But hear me, Jesus is here Now. When Jesus was here on earth 2,000 years ago in the flesh He established His Kingdom and promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. Jesus is ruling and reigning Now!

There is no little Jesus. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever! Glory.

It seems some think that the Jesus who is with us now is a watered down version of the Jesus that was here 2,000 years ago. No, that Same Jesus is with us now in all His power and might and glory and love and care.

It is astounding to me that so many religious leaders are using the term something like
“Jesus showed up’ at the meeting. I asked a friend of mine that started to use that term in his church and meetings what he meant by that phrase. He said “Oh about half way through the meeting ‘Jesus showed up’.

I said, I guess no one in the meetings was saved. I thought you were there and were saved. He replied, “Oh, you know what I mean’.

I said, “No, I do not.’ I thought Jesus was living in your life and therefore He was with you always’.

I will never forget as my theological biblical minister friend said, “Well, it sounds good ‘Jesus showed up’. I know it is not a correct term but it works and creates excitement.

I said the best way to express a mighty move of Jesus would be to say that Jesus manifest Himself in an awesome way. Jesus was there from the start He did not just ‘show up’.
We are so often relying on religious terms and phrases that are not biblically correct in order to manipulate people.

Lets just stick to the real and glorious truth’¦ Jesus IS here!

I seek to focus on His daily moment to moment presence and seek to live and walk and speak in His glory and might. I know Jesus is here with me and helping me and molding me into a person more like Him. I only seek His will and way.

I encourage you to consider “Is Jesus here with Me?’ Now?
Should the answer be yes then go forth to live in His power and might.
Should the answer be no then please invite Jesus into your life as your personal Savior and Lord.

The fields are ripe to harvest’¦Go in the Name of Jesus. Live in His love and power. Let’s reach this world for Jesus now. Rest assured He will take care of the future.

Rejoice! Enjoy Jesus! You can really know that He is here with you always.

God bless you,
Pilgrim followers of Jesus,

Arthur and Denise Blessitt
