Jesus (And People)

When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.’ Mark 8:34

It is impossible to tell the story of Jesus and not focus on His relationship with people.

Jesus is a people person. He was and is and always will be. As a matter of fact it was the very purpose of God to send Jesus to save those who would believe in Him. Jesus said He came to seek and to save that which was lost. The lost were people! People like you and I. Jesus came for us. Jesus loves us and cares for us and our lives and needs and eternity. Jesus came to bring saved sinners into His Family, now and for all eternity.

The life of Jesus as recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and in Acts and Revelation shows His relationship with men, women and children.

Jesus lives among people but lives unlike any others that have ever lived on this earth. Jesus was flesh but He was also God. Jesus was with people but was different from all other people. The Divine on earth was radical and revolutionary! It happened only once in all of history. It still defies the logic of the mind but can transform the mind, heart, soul and spirit.

Welcome to Jesus!

Some people came to love Jesus yet others hated Him. Some people followed Jesus others left following Him as they heard more of His message and did not like it. Some people came to follow Jesus even in suffering and to death. Nothing has changed. People’s hearts are the same as Adam and the people at the time of Jesus living on earth.

Jesus ate with people, drank with them, slept in their homes and walked their roads. Jesus faced the conditions of nature, the rain, snow, heat, wind and waves. Jesus was hungry and thirsty. Jesus understands your needs and feelings. He was a part of a family, a synagogue, and a town. He traveled with friends both men and women. He visited homes and ate and drank with people. People touched Him, washed His feet and anointed His Head. Children sat in the lap of Jesus and He blessed them.

Jesus knew not only the physical needs of others but the spiritual needs of people. Jesus forgave sins. Jesus healed the sick and raised the dead. Jesus welcomed sinners to come to Him. Jesus loved and cared and was moved with compassion as He saw the needs of people. As you read and come to see Jesus, you see Love and Forgiveness as He preaches repentance and belief. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, come to Jesus

I invite you to read the Gospels and see the real Jesus.

Below I will just give a short sample of Jesus with people .

I am a people, so are you! Ha.

Matthew 1:21
“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Matthew 4:16-17
The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned.”
From that time Jesus began to preach and to say,
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Matthew4:23-25
And Jesus went about all Galilee , teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
Then His fame went throughout all Syria ; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.
Great multitudes followed Him– from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem , Judea, and beyond the Jordan .

Matthew 7:28
And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,

Matthew 9:35-36
Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom,
and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

Mark 3:21
But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.”

Mark 11:18
because all the people were astonished at His teaching.

Mark 12:37
And the common people heard Him gladly.

Luke 6:17-19
And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed.
And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.

Luke 12:1-2
In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
“For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.

Luke 18:43
And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

Luke 19:48
For all the people were very attentive to hear Him.

Come to Jesus today and have new life and a new destiny!
Just pray, Jesus will hear you now.

God bless you.
