Jesus (Joy in Heaven and on Earth)

“I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
Jesus, Luke 15th chapter

People seem to get so excited about sports and balls: Baseball, Football, Soccer, Tennis, Pool ball, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Ping Pong Ball, Rugby , Golf ball, etc.

Should someone come from Space and search for the God of this earth they might conclude ‘Don’t know what their God is but its round or almost round.’

They gather and worship it around the world.

They kick it, hit it, run with it, and billions play with it including little children and big fat men.

Many people get excited about balls but I get excited about Jesus!

I live from soul to soul! Walking around the world has just been getting from one praying person to the next. Sometimes I have to walk in the desert to find one, sometimes in the jungles, sometimes in the cities, sometimes in the wars, but always I am excited and filled with joy!

What on earth makes heaven rejoice?

A soul saved! A Sinner repenting!

Joy in Heaven’¦

In Luke 15:1-32 Jesus tells three stories and gives insight into what happens in heaven when a sinner is found and comes home.

“Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him.

“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one

which is lost until he finds it?

“And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

“And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me , for I have found my sheep which was lost!’

“I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it?

“And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’

“Likewise, I say to you,

there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one who repents.”

(who are the angels in the presence of? God!

Ezekiel 33:11 “Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’

Zephaniah 3:17

The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will quiet you with His love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”

Third story Jesus told:

Then He said: “A certain man had two sons.

The one took all his inheritance and wasted it in sinful living. In despair he made a decision:

‘I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,

“And he arose and came to his father.

But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

‘And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and

let us eat and be merry;

‘for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’

And they began to be merry.

“Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house , he heard music and dancing.

“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me,

and all that I have is yours.

‘It was right that we should make merry and be glad , for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.'”

I don’t know where you get your ‘joy’ but I know where God gets His.

Heaven doesn’t rejoice over a great sermon or great music or great communion or great giving’¦heaven is waiting for the ‘invitation’! Did anyone get saved is the question in Glory!

Do you want to know the Heart of God? Jesus reveals the heart of the Father in these three stories.

Should your religion have no joy in it’¦you’ve got the wrong religion’¦

Come to Jesus!

If you don’t rejoice over sinners repenting and souls being saved something is wrong with your religion or relationship with Jesus.

Why is there Joy in Heaven over a sinner that repents? All of heaven knows the value of a saved soul and the destiny of a lost soul.

The most beautiful sunset, the most glorious view of a heavens filled sky of stars,

No angel rushes into heaven to report the view.

Heaven does not explode in joy over a beautiful song or sermon or teaching or religious political action.

Perhaps every time a soul is saved Jesus looks at His mail scared Hands and says, “The Cross was worth it’

“The Blood was not wasted’

There is a fountain filled with Blood drawn from Immanuel’s veins and sinners plunge beneath the flood, loose all there guilt and stain.

What can wash away my sins nothing but the Blood of Jesus!

Around the world many people will repent and heaven will explode in Joy.

I’m a Lost Sheep that needs to be found and saved by the love of Jesus!

I’m a Lost Coin that feels the love and God and has now been found!

I’m a Prodigal that needs to come back home and I know the Father is waiting for me!

I want to come to Jesus right now!

Please pray this prayer:

“Dear God I need you. I am lost without you. Your love and mercy and Spirit has found me. I believe in Jesus and as best as I know how I repent and invite Jesus to cleanse me and save my soul. Lord you were right and I’ve been wrong. I want to know and follow Jesus from this day forward. Make my home in Heaven and put my name in Your book.

In Jesus Name I pray.’

Now This is Joy!

How can you share Jesus! Start now filling heaven with Joy and hell with trembling.

Now Go!

Luke 10:17, 21

Then the seventy returned with joy, saying,

“Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit

Acts 8:4-8

Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.

Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them.

And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing

And there was great joy in that city.
