Dominican Republic

1993

When we arrived in the Dominican Republic at the airport near Santo Domingo, my wife, Denise and I rented a car. She would drive up the road in front of me a few miles then wait for me to arrive carrying the cross. She had water and supplies.

During our time in the Dominican Republic we carried the cross much of the way from
Santo Domingo to Puerto Plata.

Many days, car after car would stop with people wanting to talk and pray. Even buses and vans full of people would stop. People came looking for the cross. It was just a time of joy and response and glory.

It was a powerful time of witness and friendship with the beautiful people of this nation.
