Worship!

Worship! For almost all my life I have loved praying laying down on the floor or ground. I’ve prayed all over the world when I would lay down and kiss the dirt before taking my first step with the cross even in filthy places. Everyday I pray this way even before going to bed. The other day Sophia our daughter said “Dad, Teddy lays down and stretches out just like you do when you pray.” His legs are back and he is imitating you. Denise was ready when I prayed again and when I laid down he did the same and you see this awesome and moving photo.

For years I have preached that worship in the Bible means laying prostrate before the Lord. And in the New Testament it also means like a dog licking or kissing his master’s hand. This photo is just too good for me not to post. May we all lay before the Lord Jesus in worship, humble, loving, in reverence and adoration. We can bring our request to Him.

Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance: Greek: proskuneó: to do reverence to. (pros-koo-neh-o) From ‘pros’ and a probable derivative of ‘kuon’ (meaning to kiss, like a dog licking his master’s hand); literally or figuratively. Prostrate oneself in homage, do reverence to, adore. Prostrate means to lay flat on the ground or floor face downward in reverence or submission.
